The Edwards lab at San Diego State University has had a long and successful collaboration with Prof. Fabiano Thompson at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. With our complementary expertise in DNA sequencing and analysis, our studies of the environment, and our interested in international collaborations, we have teamed up to provide our students with unique experiences.
The collaboration between these groups has been funded by the Department of Education through a FIPSE-CAPES program, and many students have traveled between our two laboratories.
